A. Miller email	Hi all--what an interesting website. My husband and I are thinking of transplanting from Manhattan to Brooklyn. During our search this past weekend, we looked at a great place on 17th Street btw. 4th and 5th. Not sure if anyone can help us but does anyone have any thoughts on: 1. The neighborhood in general and whether you feel it is up and coming (were told that people are pushing more south); and 2. Is anyone familiar with homes that face or have backs to the Prospect Expressway and whether they feel that affects property values, etc. Thanks for any information/thoughts you can provide!

Once a month, our REV. would invite all the children to the altar, and with a bag full of dolls, he would become a ventriloquist. He was almost as funny as Red Hooks "Hall of Fame" comedian. Does everyone know that Pat Cooper (Pasquale Caputo)comes from Red Hook? This great Italian comic, now 75 years old, was in Queens recently, & I almost fainted when he told us of his roots in the Hook.

I wonder if these characters who play games realize it's a Federal offence to engage in these activities. Though they may call it innocent fun, the results could be a stiff fine or even a jail term, or both. They should rethink their games, or a shocking surprise may be in store. Marie email	I havent written on this site in a while .My family lived at 480 vanbrunt st.My mother had 6 children one of which had polio and spent many months at a time in st charles hospital. My dad (Jimmy Panetta) was a longshoreman , mostly worked pier 7 , my uncles Sal Tom and Frank Lettieris worked piers 3 & 5...As a child and i am going back 40 yrs i remeber the parades,boast rides, all the good times from the Post.Howie Graves was so kind to send me a picture of my dad in uniform. something i never had of him . There was a family who lived near my parents was Josie and Frank and i beleive they had 2 daughters one who was named Joann.If anyone remebers my family or has a picture of my dad from back them please email me , thanks so much

johnnyperna email	hey everybody ... anthony chechilo would like you to know that we have heard from over fifty people regarding the may 21st reunion either through e.mails or phone calls ... this should be a biggie .. we feel that within 2 years we might have to lease out yankee stadium for the reunion ... anyway by next week we will be posting everything that you you will need to know about the reunion .... the food that we are having ...the cost per person ... etc .... some people have been wondering if the post will be over crowded with all the people ..we assure you it will not be ... we believe the post will also offer us the yard ... and if its still to crowded which i doubt ... lets all go to hang out in coffee park .... and go down memory lane haha ... it wont get get crowded at the post trust us ......but anyway ..anthony or myself will be posting next week with all details .... thanks everybody ...
